Over 120 inches of snow since October and we have had to postpone Saturday's Weiner Roast. It will be re-scheduled for sometime later this month.
2nd SEVERE WIND STORM HAS
HIT THE AREA
Workparty to clear trails on January 3rd
Warmer Temperatures, High Winds, and Rain Closed Trails.
After receiving over 100 inches of snow during hunting season, we have had two cycles of high winds (gusts over 70 mph!), rain, warmer temperatures, even sunshine.
Again, for the second time, there are branches and trees are down all over.
Bridges over two major creeks were damaged during the previous storm and still need some repair.
Please meet at the CLSC clubhouse at 8:30am Saturday January 3rd to do trail clean-up in various locations. Bring whatever you can to clean-up downed branches and trees, currently blocking the trails.
Hopefully we can get enough snow to ride next week but we need the trails cleared before winter returns!
Please help if you can, call (716) 679-8299 and ask for Steve. We want to know how much help we can get to get the trails ready before the snow returns and trails can reopen!
Please check the Chautauqua County Trail Conditions snow phone

NEW TEMPORARY CERTIFICATE OF SNOWMOBILE REGISTRATION (MV-53TSN)
In April, 2008, DMV formed a team to address the need by some County offices to register snowmobiles during non-business hours. A new form, the MV-53TSN, has been designed to accommodate counties that have experienced a significant number of in-state and out-of-state tourists seeking immediate snowmobile registration services when the County Office is closed. The MV-53TSN can only be used when renewing an existing NYS snowmobile registration, or for processing an original registration for an out-of-state resident.
All other snowmobile registrations must be processed in an office during normal working hours.
The County Clerk or County Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) employee will review paperwork and edit the application as though the customer were in an office.
Employees will copy the ownership and the identification. The County Clerk or County DMV employee will then attach all required documentation (including the NYSSA Snowmobile Voucher) and copies to the application along with the check or money order. The County Clerk or County DMV employee will fill out the form (MV-53TSN) and give the original copy to the customer. The second copy is attached to the transaction and the third copy remains in the MV-53TSN book.
The County Clerk or County DMV employee should fill out the form completely. The form contains vehicle information on the snowmobile and the customer's name, address, and phone number.
Saturday temporary Registrations will now be done by DMV personnel at the Dock's Restaurant located on Water St in Mayville (across from the Depot building) from 9-3 Call (716)753-4229 for Saturday registration info and availability.
None of the previously used locations can provide Temporary Weekend Registrations anymore.
